Charlotte-based software services firm Kingsmen Software sells SaaS offering to Defiance Ventures. Retains minority share.
Kingsmen Software, a software services firm finalized a transaction to sell the majority ownership of “The Q” to Charlotte-based Defiance Ventures for an undisclosed amount. “The Q” is a fixed income syndicate pipeline and analytics platform.
“We custom-built The Q for one of our large banking clients and transformed it into a SaaS offering for us,” explained Kevin Carney, Managing Partner for Kingsmen. “The Q is a feature-rich platform that has matured over the course of 5 years in a production environment. We are excited about the innovative ideas that Defiance has in-store for The Q.”

The Q platform facilitates the tracking of investment grade and high yield fixed income syndicate deals including fee calculation, revenue forecasting and accrual, underwriting approval, capital allocation, Volcker reporting, banker scorecards, Control Room reporting, and fee payments and reconciliation.
