Meet the Kingsmen

We are practitioners who are approachable, sophisticated and rigorous. We work ridiculously hard in our fun, engaging and collaborative studio, creating opportunities for our clients and ourselves while continually improving what we offer through practice and discipline.

Micah Minarik

Founder — Managing Partner — Technical Strategy

Micah drives our technology strategy. He has led development teams at Bank of America, Wells Fargo, TIAA-CREF and Concerto Asset Management. His areas of expertise include loan syndication, asset management, institutional retirement, and online retail bank account origination. Micah started Kingsmen Software knowing he could deliver technology solutions more efficiently outside the bureaucracy of large banks. He holds a BBA in Finance from James Madison University, received an MBA from Wake Forest University, and passed his CFA Level 1.

Bill Clerici

Managing Partner — Technical Delivery

Bill runs our AppStudio, managing technical delivery to clients and continually investing in additional automation of our development platform. As an expert in technology delivery and project management, he has provided SVP team leadership at Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Wachovia. Bill became a Kingsmen Software Managing Partner to lead teams to build enterprise level platforms. He graduated cum laude with a BS in Computer Science from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and holds a BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Kevin Carney

Managing Partner — Client Delivery

Kevin directs our delivery execution and client management. He has consulted to a large portfolio of financial services clients including Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered, GE Capital, and Credit Suisse. Kevin has provided development services to banks, hedge funds, insurance brokerages, institutional retirement divisions, and sell-side capital markets organizations. He joined us with a desire to bring a disciplined and repeatable approach to the development projects he delivers to his clients. He holds BS in Finance from the Wharton School and passed his CFA Level 1.

Greg Hart

Managing Partner — CFO

Greg directs our financial and accounting structures. Providing fractional CFO services and M&A consulting to small, high-growth companies, Greg was a Partner at Scale Finance serving as CFO to a handful of Charlotte companies. He joined us full-time because he felt the approach and platform that Kingsmen Software created is unique to the financial services IT industry and will drive substantial growth opportunities. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and holds a BA in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Accounting, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Chris Nowak

Chief Transformation Officer / Kingsmen FlowStates™

Chris has repeatedly transformed cultural, procedural & organizational challenges into successful delivery services. He now does that as Head of Kingsmen FlowStates™, Kingsmen’s transformation advisory and scaled DevOps services. At Bank of America, he led a combined organization of Automation & Process Engineering, Platform Systems, Client Engagement/On-Boarding, and Deployment. His teams supported over 800 applications & implemented large scale, rapid response service delivery. Chris retired from NY Army National Guard as a captain and helicopter pilot. He holds an MS in Electrical Engineering and BS’s in Physics and Electrical Engineering. He also has a US Patent in DevOps Methodologies.

Kelley Horton

Chief Agility Officer / Kingsmen Business Agility™

Kelley has an extensive history and reputation as an enterprise-level Lean-Agile transformation leader, most recently as Enterprise Engagements VP at Net Objectives and as SVP/COO for Bank of America’s Consumer Sales & Marketing Technology. Expert at consulting and coaching global companies to manage large-scale change, Horton's Kingsmen Business Agility™ guides behavioral and cultural change necessary to create a continuous flow of customer value. She is a SAFe Program Consultant, a regular speaker at Agile events and holds a BT in Industrial Engineering Technology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. She and her husband spent most of their careers in Silicon Valley before moving to NC.

Frank Wanicka

Head of Engineering

Wanicka joined Kingsmen to be with talented people who want to do things "the right way with modern technology". He authored Kingsmen’s valued Frakworx™, a server and client framework allowing Craftsmen to develop applications in less time. Frank has built client/server applications for years; at Bank of America, he delivered a WPF/Silverlight framework used for data analysis & assessment applications. He also created Multiple Listing Service software that was licensed to real estate boards across the country. It had desktop and web client applications and provided integrated off-line mapping and reporting. Frank studied at the University of Central Florida & loves camping with his family.

Luis Echegaray

Head of Operations & Kingsmen CD Platform

Luis hates bios. Not everyone's, just his own. Maybe he will accept that he has such immense responsibility because he is central to Kingsmen's automation ability, and one of the smartest people we know. He manages all infrastructure, apprentice training, craftsmen onboarding and for all we know, he could be from another planet. He's always available and he does a lot of stuff.

Denise Beachley

Chief Program Evangelist / Kingsmen Key™

Denise has grown her own program from single-team, single-room agile to scaled, portfolio level teams at one of the most sophisticated technology organizations. An agile delivery expert, she heads Kingsmen Key™, training teams to more efficiently drive business value. Denise spent 7 years at Bank of America as Technical Delivery and Program/Portfolio Manager in the eCommerce/Digital space, and was instrumental in establishing the current Bank of America operating model by leading prioritization, grooming, Rally configurations and more. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Denise has been to every state but HI. She and her husband take weekend trips, love sports and working on their property.

Kevin Carmody

Head of UX / Kingsmen Interactive™

Dr. Kevin Carmody is an award winning designer, developer and researcher of user-centered digital experiences. He now leads UX at Kingsmen, bringing 15+ years of experience in innovative product design at multiple international companies. As Head of Kingsmen Interactive™, he assists clients in designing the right experiences for customers through data analytics and processes that unearth true customer needs. At Bank of America, Kevin designed systems to optimize human performance and was the lead evangelist for gaming tech in the Bank's Global HR Tech division, launching 10 full-featured games in 7 years. He enjoys spending time with family and gigging as a classical organist & pianist.

Jordan Harris

Head of Recruiting and Kingsmen Analytics™

Harris believes that Kingsmen knows how to build software better, excelling by leveraging new technologies to build for large organizations – and attracting top coding talent. A strong leader, Jordan designed, built and deployed Kingsmen’s Application Lifecycle Management application, and heads Kingsmen Analytics™. He pursued Kingsmen after studies in Computer Science fundamentals at UNC Charlotte and earned a double-major BS in Business Admin and Economics at UNC Chapel Hill. Jordan worked as Credit Analysis QA Team Leader at BB&T in Winston Salem, NC. He doesn’t lack things to do, including rock climbing, yoga and jamming with friends on his guitar.

Bob Konitzer

Head of Architecture

A Senior Software Architect with extensive experience across multiple domains, Bob got his start in Financial Services at Standard & Poor’s Compustat Services and most recently consulted at Wells Fargo as a Senior Capital Markets Architect. At Kingsmen, Bob is a Master Craftsmen, bringing his vast experience to bear on the architecture of current and future projects. An avid fly fisherman, Bob ties his own flies, makes his own equipment and travels widely to fish different streams in the US; Grey Reef and The River Not To Be Mentioned in Wyoming are his favorite streams. He also brewed his first batch of beer at 5 years old. Bob is married and has three successful kids and a close family.
